OUR STORY

Our story · Meet the maker

One family recipe, many chapters.

Our story began in a cozy log cabin in the Finger Lakes region of central New York, where Mary Bartolotta started making soap in her home in 2008. Right beside her was her granddaughter Abigail, the first grandchild to make soap with her Gramma. What began as a shared passion quickly grew into Mary's first company, a wholesale and private label manufacturing business with more than 100 products sold worldwide and in many locations throughout the US. Its product lines included organic bars and washes, shampoos, balms, lotions, and pet, baby, shaving, and outdoor products, and much more. As the company grew, so did Abigail's role: she became a head soap maker and production manager, helping bring Mary's recipes to customers around the world.

Through it all, Mary’s processes have stayed true to where she started: artisan, healthy, and sustainable.

How We Make Our Products

Our Soap is remilled by hand in small artisan batches. We blend a gentle soap base with natural colors and pure essential oils, adding them at lower temperatures so their skin-loving benefits stay true. Our natural scents are infused at the very last minute to captivate the senses. The result is a smooth, long-lasting bar that's gentle on every skin type.

Natural ingredients

We use organic, sustainable oils and butters, purifying clays for natural color, exfoliating botanicals, and pure essential oils. Whenever we can, we add local and regional berries, herbs, and spices. We choose only ingredients we'd trust on our own skin and in our own homes.

Good Manufacturing Practices:

We follow good manufacturing practices in every batch, from working in a clean and sanitary facility to careful measuring, labeling, and record-keeping, so you can count on safe, consistent quality every time.
